The STAAR Tests for 5th Grade Science, 8th Grade Science, and HS Biology are scheduled for Wednesday, April 16th. Please get plenty of rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and be ready to focus your energy on the STAAR Science tests on Wednesday morning.

Friday, April 25th from 5-7 PM will be the LPS Annual Spring Festival. Join us for lots of food, activities, and family fun. Come on out and enjoy the activities. Tickets available now for purchase on the school store.

The STAAR End of Course (EOC) English I and English II test is taking place on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. For HS students, the End of Course tests are required test to pass in order to meet graduation requirements. Get a good nights rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and be ready to focus your energy and effort on the test on Tuesday morning. Don't let personal distractions keep you from doing well on the test.

LPS has been working with the Texas Department of Agriculture to complete a comprehensive audit of the child food and nutrition program. This audit review process has taken months of work and now that it is concluded, we received great news. Congratulations to our key food and nutrition staff members for work well done. We are so proud of your work and thank you for your time, commitment, and dedication.

How a Texas district extended the school year to improve achievement. The Aldine Independent School District has seen positive outcomes from a program in which four campuses have 210 school days.

HS students who will be attending LPS in the Summer or Fall of 2025 can begin the application and registration process for dual credit courses with McMurry University April 7th. The dual credit program provides opportunities for students to receive college credit in high school at no cost.
