Lighthouse Public Schools has published the 2025 Federal School Report Card, as required under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). This report provides important information about our district and campuses, including student performance, academic progress, and other accountability measures.

We invite families and community members to review the report cards on the Lighthouses Public Schools website. It is also accessible using the LPS Mobile App.

The Site-Based Decision Making Committee (SBDM) for Lighthouse Public Schools will be meeting on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 4:30 PM to review, discuss, and gather input regarding school and district performance, school improvement strategy, and strategic priorities for the 2025-2026 academic year.

If you still want to join Choir, Wednesday is the day to do it. Anyone that wants to join or is interested in joining needs to come to the choir room from 4:30 to 5:30 PM on Wednesday. This is anyone in 4th - 7th grade. This is a non-auditioned choir. No audition is required. Just have an interest in Choir and we will find a place for you to be successful. Come SHINE in Choir!

✅ Dress Code: Students should attend in school uniform. If you have the blue "Dream Big Act Bold" shirt, you may wear it with school pants. No jeans permitted.
🚗 Drop-off: Begins at 7:15 AM.
🤝 Courtesy: Be respectful to other parents, students, and staff. Follow all directions from identified staff and security.
🕊 Patience: Remain calm and patient—everyone’s working together for a smooth start.
➡️ Driveline: Follow all driveline instructions for safety.
👶 Preparing Younger Students: Help younger children prepare for the first day. Lingering near crying children can make the transition harder—encourage confidence and reassure them before drop-off.
🔒 Safety First: LPS will keep safety and security as our highest priority.

As you prepare for the first day of school, remember that traffic will be heavier across the city, and there will be both pedestrians and vehicles moving throughout our parking lot. Preparation is key to a successful first day—and it also helps us keep our campus safe and neighbor-friendly.

Here are a few important reminders:
✅ Be courteous and respectful to others in the parking lot.
✅ Do not block neighborhood driveways—our residents need to get to and from work.
✅ Driveline numbers will be handed out by staff during morning drop-off.
✅ Student drop-off begins at 7:15 AM.
✅ Follow all one-way signs for entering and exiting the parking lot. (See the included parking lot diagram.)

Wednesday at Learning Alive, our young explorers dove into the fascinating world of spiders! From spinning webs to spotting eight-legged creatures in their natural habitats, students spent the day finding, identifying, and experiencing spiders up close.

With curiosity as their compass, campers learned about spiders, their adaptations, and the important role they play in nature. Hands-on exploration brought science to life—proving once again that learning is always more exciting when it's alive!

Today at Learning Alive, our young explorers dove into the world of turtles! Students got up close and personal with our curious turtle friends. They asked great questions, made awesome observations, and even had a chance to gently interact with the animals.
