Ms. Yvette J. Andrade
Describe your role and what you will be teaching including curriculum resources.
I will be teaching Pre- K3 this year. Which is a bridge year between pre-school and Kindergarten that allows a child to develop a strong foundation for on-going success in the classroom. Students are exposed to social experiences while being introduced to skills that will be addressed in a Kindergarten class. Children that may benefit from this program have late birthdays (young 5's), need more time to develop social skills, miss the cut-off date. This allows students to develop academically one more year before enrolling into Kindergarten. My job as a teacher is to structure the class like it would be in Kindergarten room. There will be a literacy and math clock. A developmental approach that focuses on the social and emotional needs of students.
