Hello LPS Family!
I am the Social Emotional Lead / Social Worker here at Lighthouse Public School Campus. I love to create a warm, inclusive, welcoming environment where students feel safe and valued. I work with the teachers, students and parents to address any mental and emotional health issues that may interfere with learning. I provide intervention for families by making the appropriate referrals and providing resources.
I am so excited for this school year! I love working with families and students, so they can be the best they can be mentally and socially. This will be my second school year as the social worker here at Lighthouse Public School. I graduated from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana with my bachelor's in social work. There I began my amazing social work career with working with children in foster care for 9 years. I am originally from Louisiana. Me and my husband moved here two years ago, and we love it!!
