My role supports students with diverse learning needs by assisting with classroom activities, individualized instruction, and behavioral management. I will work closely with teachers to implement personalized education plans, facilitate small group or one-on-one instruction, and provide support to help students engage with the curriculum and develop essential skills. My role is crucial in creating an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
I’ve been with Lighthouse Public School for nearly eight years now, and it’s been quite a journey. I began my time here as a substitute teacher, stepping into various classrooms and getting a feel for the school environment. It wasn’t long before I transitioned to a role as a Pre-K aide, where I had the opportunity to support our youngest learners and help shape their early educational experiences.
This year, I’m excited to take on a new challenge as a Special Education Instructional Aide. It’s a role that allows me to work closely with students who have diverse needs, providing tailored support and encouragement to help them succeed. Each step of my career here has been rewarding, and I’m grateful for the chance to contribute to our school community in different ways.
