Mrs. Adnan, Section 504 Coordinator & Dyslexia Specialist

I graduated from St. Mary's University where I originally majored in Business Marketing. In 2013, I began my teaching career in South Korea for 3 amazing years. I came back in 2016 and became certified to teach in Texas. I have been with Lighthouse my entire Texas teaching career which is going on year 8.

 

This year is my second year as Lighthouse's Dyslexia Specialist as well as Section 504 Coordinator. I have been trained in "Build K-1" Intervention and completed "Reading by Design" dyslexia training. Additionally, I am certified as a "Wilson Reading System Practitioner" and provide intervention for students with dyslexia and dysgraphia. I am also certified in ESL & Special Education. 

 

When off the clock, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my two year old son.
